Tuition! Today, we were doing human transport systems. Specifically, the circulatory system, with all the potential blood, gore and Dexter-ness that comes along with it.
So, we mentioned that the artery would spurt blood, the veins will gush blood. How people die from exsanguination, internal bleeding, holes in hearts... The ways people can die, etc.
It was one of the few times I saw an interested gleam in Kelly's eyes. She hadn't zoned out for once, and was remarkably chatty.
As for me, I would smile in delight at the teacher's interest in blood and gore.
Yup, he could be Singapore's Bay Harbor Butcher, killing all those animal abusers and whatever that stands in his path of what's good and just. All we need now is a psychopathic serial-killing brother and somebody to teach him the Code of Harry. Debra's foulmouthed comments would be handled by moi, and the sick ones by Kelly.
Meanwhile, the other girls had this face of disgust stuck on their face for the whole session. Who can blame them, actually? The only people paying rapt attention were the guys, trying to show off, and the two of us.
Mabel, the Dexter fan!
