I am the girl that doesn't go to school dances, or games, and when I do go, I sit in a corner wondering why I went.

I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal.
I am the girl that people call weird and a freak either behind my back or to my face.
I am the girl that doesn't spend all her time on Facebook, or talking to a girlfriend on a cell phone or regular phone.
I am the girl that hasn't been asked out in a year.
I am the girl that has stopped to smell the flowers and jump and splash in the rain.
I am also the girl who knows and is proud to be who she is, doesn’t care if people call her weird (it's a compliment), who loves reading and writing and doing the things that no one seems to have the time to do any more, who loves and is obsessed with Maximum Ride, who can express herself better with words than actions, who doesn't need a guy to complete her, and knows the importance of the little things.

That's who I am.

Thoughts over 2010

Bring it on. Every year of my life was screwed-up in varying amounts since 2004.

2004: Bullying. No description, except that it taught me the best way to survive, is to put on a mask if you have too. How useful, this skill.

2005: Cliques and gangs formed. Our clique was a tight-knit one, and I enjoyed it. I promise, I will track you girls down. There are so many people in the Singapore Thread living near where we used to. I'll find a schoolmate sooner or later!

2006: New school, where I was a total stranger. If I could relive this year, I'd put on a different mask.

2007: Not you guys again? Kevin was a total ass. Thank god he moved classes.

2008: PSLE, and the total pain in the neck, puberty can be. One moment, I'm one of the taller few girls (slightly above the median). Next thing I knew, I was the 6th shortest, and I had to kick a certain person in the nuts to stop the jokes.

2009: New school, with a small bunch of schoolmates. Interesting, yes. Right up till Kelly moved.

2010: ?

What will you bring into my life? I, frankly have no idea, and after 2009's predictions were totally wrong, I'm not planning on predicting this time round.
