For my Aural Pleasure

I sent my computer for servicing today. The guy ran a diagnostic, somehow, even after removing the battery, by holding the 'N' key during startup. He asked whether he could run it, because data would be sent to Apple HQ.

Do what you need to do. Just get the hard disk replaced, and the computer running.

Alright. It cost me $85 as a deposit. The hard disk would cost me more. He also noted that it was kinda dirty, but that's something fingernails and wet wipes could fix. He also offered to replace the battery because it was bloated. I asked whether it could result in further issues. He said no.

Fine. Besides, I could run it without the battery. It should be ready for collection by Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll get it on Wednesday, with my mom because I don't want to pay out of my pocket, especially because I don't have a few hundred dollars to spare.

Since I dragged my mother to Funan Mall already, I said that I was staying to check out the shops. We were on the fifth floor, which happened to be near quite a few shops selling figurines.

There were interesting items, there were affordable items, but the set containing the union of the two aforementioned sets was a null set.

Dammit.

I'm planning to join NaNoWriMo this year. I'm most probably gonna base my story on my characters. Plot: Most probably going to flesh out the NoodleIncident. I have 50,000 words to so it with, so things should be fun.

According to the rules, the writing can only begin on 1st November, but you can begin fleshing out the plot, key events, characters and their descriptions before that.

Right. I'm calling dibs on this storyline.

We start off with a simple rescue operation. One of the hero's bosses lost a vital asset, now in the enemy base. A lieutenant is sent with a dozen members of the organization's Spec Ops troops in.

Things take a turn for the worse when it turns out that whoever's in charge is way more capable, and only the lieutenant survives (obviously).

Two sides emerge in the aftermath of the incident. One group wants revenge, while the other group wants to get the guy on their side, as a mole or a defector.

The man is quickly captured, due to both sides using the same source of information. After a quick battle and a series of ambushes, a third side emerges, which comprises of the superiors of both groups. The aforementioned side decides to interrogate the enemy general, but he escapes.

As the second team of Spec Ops depart, led by the researcher in charge of the item, and a master at armed and unarmed combat, interrogators realize that the man left to command the defenses and protect the item from the doctor. They quickly contact the doctor, and send an agent to tell him the bad news. Unfortunately, he mistakes the agent's airplane for an enemy plane and shoots it down. The agent ejects in time, guiding herself to a safe landing.

The doctor reaches the shore of the island base, and begins a shelling with high-explosive shells, then calls in airstrikes. The enemy quickly reacts by mobilizing its large navy. The doctor's forces pushes in, and makes landfall. They are immediately attacked the same way as the lieutenant, but they see it coming, and defeat the obstacles. Soon, they force their way through numerous obstacles (I have no idea how kind I should be to them) and reach the containment chambers.

After a few wrong, but hilarious and painful attempts, they stumble upon the correct chamber. Turning around, they fight their way out with ease, only to reach the shore, and they see the navy ships return, surrounding them. All seems lost, and the missiles and torpedoes begin flying. All the crafts are destroyed, save the doctor's craft, as he is carrying the MacGuffin.

They order him to surrender, only for a missile to streak in and hit the flagship's ammunition stores. It explodes with a great fireball, and a C130 descends from the skies. Only a few ships dare to fire on it, and they are quickly sunk.

The doctor takes the chance to escape, lest the pilot turns out to be a freelance mercenary or something equally bad. He almost makes it back to base, when he sees the gunship racing past him. He makes a series of evasive maneuvers, but the gunship makes no attempt to fire upon him, or even aim at him, and it zooms on to the landing strip.

It turns out that the agent managed to land herself on the base, bluff her way into the changing rooms, where she stole a set of uniforms, and stole a gunship. She saw the doctor being attacked, and decided to help him with a dynamic entry, by blowing up the most important-looking ship.

The doctor vouched for her innocence, as she was caught by guards who thought she was an enemy agent trying to bluff her way onto the base.

Cut to the mole, who arrives back on the enemy base. A higher-ranking man approaches him and asks him what information he revealed. He replies, "Only what you wanted me to say," and smiles.

The End.

It could most probably work, and I might hit 60k words. If I do put up my original stories on Fictionpress, then do a SCP Foundation crossover on Fanfiction.net, wouldn't that mean I've just beaten Durandall, and made a Fictionpress.com / Fanfiction.net / SCP crossover, which would be more complex than his Haruhi / TvTropes / Higarushi crossover?

Yes, that would be epic.
