Quit

I quit the forums and FB.

...

...

...

Alright. You may reattach your jaw now. I merely forgot the word "temporarily". I'm just proving that I'm not addicted.

My status read that I was gonna quit until Wednesday, and anybody who assumed I was quitting for good and wanted to profit from it could stuff their head up their ass. The first commenter wasn't too happy at being asked to have his head stuffed up his ass.

The next was from a fellow forum-goer who wished me good luck. That's nice.

Following that, a classmate mentioned cynically that I'd be back in 30 minutes. Excusable, as I don't show much self-discipline most of the time. Never mind. No need to let others know what I can truly do.

A few laughs, and "I-agree"s, then it stopped for an hour. To their considerable surprise, I didn't react, mainly because my 20+ TvTropes tabs smothered out any other tabs.

2 hours past, and another forum-goer came up. He noted that it was possible for me to do that, having seen what I can do, but warned that he'd be watching.

Kelly came up next and commented: *go offline* as a wry nod to previous commenter.

And, it died down for 8 hours, in which I got a lot of holiday work done.

Unsurprisingly, a CERTAIN someone came along. He knew who the forum-goers are, being a lurker there, and he mentioned that I knew said forum-goers almost personally, and wondered aloud if there was an Anonymous for said forums. Made a mental note to punch him ASAP.

Kelly came back, and said what I wanted to: Just because there are 4 high-ranking forum-ers here doesn't mean anything. Left him to work out who they were, but only after she put up her profile, did he realize.

FAIL.

The rest of the comments were mainly filler that tried to keep the comments up. Meh. I'll check back tomorrow. Meanwhile, on the forums, Kelly, who I convinced on FB chat, has set up a competition on the forums. Whoever gets the closest guess on when I'd return gets a million points. The nicest one I've seen so far is 5 minutes later. Hopefully, it'll turn into a forum meme.

Yeah. Hopefully.

So... yeah. I'm gonna like my return. In the meantime, I've gotta finish up The Transcription of Suzumiya Haruhi, and hope that I can find a Baka-Tsuki level translator for future Haruhi novels.

Things to do on return:

* Pay out to the winners of Kelly's competition. They'll be getting the prize from her, and I'll be giving whatever I want. If you know what I mean... :P

* Bragging thread. One for RL stuff, one for forum-based events. Maybe a CMoA thread too.

* Check on the April Fools' Event thread. I saw a post, and I quote:

I can't say what I want to do, but it involves a trebuchet, an eviscerated horse and ballons filled with sulphur hexafluoride.

For those less well-versed in Chemistry or Mythbusters, sulphur hexafluoride is 6 times denser than air, and gives a very cool "Lucifer" kind of voice. He deserves a reward.

Speaking of cool stuff, my History teacher wants me to do an essay on WW2. As long as it's more than 5 pages. Well, I was given a lot of liberty, and my first draft has references to CSI, The Matrix, Haruhi (as expected), Ender's Game and a shitload of tropes. Hell, half my bibliography consists of TvTropes. What do you mean it ain't awesome?

Mabel.
