I'm downloading the Yui and Mio image songs.
Yeah, they're beautiful. And I'm, as usual, biased to Yui over Mio. I also heard that Mugi, Ritsu and Azusa are coming out on November 11. Just in time for AFAX, I presume.
Anyway, for AFAX, I'm considering whether to cosplay. I could try for Yuki, or Haruhi if I can find anyone crazy enough to want to be pulled through AFA by a North High tie, just for the lulz. If I can't find anywhere I can rent a North High, then I'll just go in something casual and comfortable. Somebody tell me, how cold is it?
I'm also not going for Anisong. Maybe next year, when I've actually saved up enough for it. Right now, I have $30, after the tickets. That's not a lot, considering last year. I still need to know which days will they be screening Haruhi, and if there's anything special.
Have I mentioned how awesome "Come With Me" sounds? Or at least, it's way more catchy than Let's Go. Yui's version sounds awesome.
Anyway, Mio's in the finals, and Azusa got kicked by Shana. I expect Mio to get quite a boost from her songs. Maybe. It depends how fast her songs disseminate.
Her songs have this odd style. It's like… one's dreamy, and it contrasts with the bass guitars and drums. It's cute, in its own way. The other's strong and faster.
Yui, on the other hand, her songs are extremely fast, and powerful. Kinda reflects her style, where she's ditzy and slightly rushed. Like Ritsu. The other song's slower, but nowhere near Mio's relaxedness.
U&I, on the other hand, is super sweet. It's like, the in-universe response to LOVELY Sister LOVE. Gohan wa Okazu, is just extremely funny. Yui, being someone who loves her food, and never seems to get fat, wrote the lyrics to this. Unsurprisingly, practically every line is about food, and is extremely catchy. The hook is extremely easy to get hooked on, to put it simply. The insert version had Yui hold out the mic, I think, since it was the AudienceParticipationSong.
ICHI-NI-SAN-SHI GO-HA-N!
Speaking of AudienceParticipation, Jonathan Coulton's Re: Your Brains. That was awesomely funny. Or, in fact, any song which JC performs live.
Mabel, All we wanna do is eat your brains… BRAINS!
